Learn how to avoid muscle pain by learning to avoid “bad habits.”

Self-care in between regular professional massage sessions can help release muscle pain. In this class, you’ll learn how to use massage tools to release your muscle “knots.” This workshop is limited to 8 people per class to ensure that each participant gets personalized attention.

1-hour educational power point presentation

  • Perpetuating Factors: Learn about “bad habits” that contribute to muscle pain, including body posture, sleeping habits, emotional stress, and repetitive use injury.
  • Trigger Point Patterns: An overview of the science of trigger point therapy and why the source of the pain may not be where you feel the pain. 

1-hour hands-on self-care workshop:

  • Try out various massage and trigger point tools with professional guidance so you can find out which ones work best for you. We will use a tennis ball, lacrosse ball, Backnobber, Jacknobber, Curve Ball, Thumbby and more.

1/2-hour question and answer session 

Wear comfortable clothing because we will have fun, targeting those pesky muscle knots! Bring your yoga mat.

We believe in a partnership between you and our therapists. All our therapists are trained in Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy.
