Frequently Asked Questions

Why have a Health Coach and Behavioral Changes Guidance?
Health Coach and Behavioral Changes guide you through the process of creating a vision for your health and wellbeing. It helps you develop a healthy mindset and habits, empowering you to become active participants in making positive and lasting changes to build healthy habits and self-efficacy to achieve your self-identified health goals.

How is Health Coaching different from PsychoTherapy?
Health and Wellness Coaching is not about focusing on understanding your past or why you may be stuck, as you might explore in therapy work. It is, instead, more present, future, and action-oriented. The main focus of Health and Wellness Coaching is to help you notice what is working in your life and help you leverage your strengths to create possibilities and positive changes in your future.

How long should I work with a Health Coach?
Three to six months is an ideal time frame for working with the consistent support of a health coach to experience transformative goal setting, self-efficacy, and lifestyle changes.

I am uncomfortable talking about my personal things; is it confidential?
As a Professional Health and Wellness Coach, your intake form is confidential for each and every client.  We will discuss all the logistics up front to ensure you are comfortable with the process and the ongoing confidentiality.

How do I reach my goals?
I am trained to guide you toward your own decision-making and what is important to you. We develop a partnership relationship during the process, as I will help guide you through what is important for you. You will continue to be in the driver’s seat and will be in control of your focused goal setting and where you are going.

Work runs my life; how can I put you in my hectic schedule?
We can set up a time to look at your current schedule and where you may have some gaps. As you add incremental and sustainable changes to your life and experience positive changes, you will see that the time you carve out for yourself will pay you back in dividends in other areas of your life.

How do I go from surviving to striving?
As you connect with your internal strengths and your outside resources, and with the support and accountability of your Health Coach, you will build momentum and self-efficacy. Your incremental changes become Healthy habits that will help you to go from surviving to thriving.

Can I really change?
Yes. When you clearly define your wellness vision and set sustainable, achievable goals, you will build healthy habits and self-efficacy over time. The behavioral changes become a habit and pay back more energy and more time for yourself.
